Cross Roads Centre is a 239,000-square-foot shopping area located in Waterford, Connecticut, a shoreline town on Long Island Sound. Anchored by Lowe’s and Hobby Lobby, the center is conveniently located off exit 81 from I-95 at the intersection of Cross Road and Waterford Parkway North. The site benefits from its proximity to big box stores with regional draw, including Walmart, Target and BJ’s Wholesale Club.
About the Area
Cross Roads Centre is just over 2 miles from General Dynamics Electric Boat’s new Waterford campus at the former Crystal Mall. The 800,000-square-foot facility is set to open in 2027 and will bring 4,000 to 5,000 employees to the area. Electric Boat recently secured a $76.6 billion contract with the U.S. Navy, one of the largest shipbuilding contracts ever awarded. The redevelopment is expected to be a major economic driver for Southeastern Connecticut, and Cross Roads is well positioned to serve its growing workforce.
Two of Connecticut’s major tourist attractions are 13 miles east of Cross Roads: Mystic Seaport Museum, the nation’s leading maritime museum and Connecticut’s number one tourist attraction, and Mystic Aquarium, featuring 300 animal species including beluga whales, African penguins and Steller sea lions.
