Anchored by Stop & Shop, the center sits at the intersection of Boston Post Road (Route 1) and Clark Street, near I-95. About Waterford

Waterford Plaza benefits from its proximity to two of the area’s major employers, General Dynamics Electric Boat, the Groton-based premier designer and builder of nuclear-powered submarines for the U.S. Navy, and Pfizer Groton, a 2.17 million-square-foot drug research and development facility; together, the companies employ thousands of people.

In 2027, Electric Boat is scheduled to open a Waterford campus at the former Crystal Mall, just 3.6 miles from the plaza. The new 800,000-square-foot facility will house up to 5,000 employees. Electric Boat recently secured a $76.6 billion U.S. Navy contract, and the campus is expected to be a major economic driver for southeastern Connecticut. Waterford Plaza is ideally located to serve this new workforce.
